Spanish Class Pinatas

Señora Sudbeck’s Spanish students recently made piñatas. They learned about the history of them, what they are used for, and how they used to be made. We used a modern method using a balloon and Papier-mâché, then decorated them with tissue paper in varying application methods. They all did so wonderfully!

Staff also came and voted for their favorite piñatas in each class, and the winners were:

2nd period – Bumble Bee by Zadie W.

3rd period – tie between Raccoon by Micah W. and Jellyfish by Malia G.

4th period – Loki by Emma S.

5th period – Chicken by Randalyn L.

6th period – Cactus by Brenden W.

7th period – Mike W. by Chloe B.

The classes will have a fiesta on cinco de mayo, during which they will fill one of their chosen piñatas with candy and break it.
